Description of the project

The main objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness of the Dom company. Developer Resort Sp. z o.o. through diversification of services provided by Hotel Polanica Resort & Spa in Polanica Zdrój and improving energy efficiency through the use of RES.

Project Value

The value of the project (sum of lump sums of tasks) amounts to PLN 467,540.35. The value of the co-financing (total value of co-financing from tasks) is PLN 327,278.25.

Project Objectives

Specific objectives will be

1) co-financing from individual tasks) of a new service - catering for employees of enterprises, non-governmental organizations of other entities operating in Polanica Zdrój, Kłodzko and the Special Economic Zone in Jashkowa Dolna, resulting in an increase in revenues by about 60,000 per month

2) implementation of process innovation in Hotel Polanica Resort & Spa by laundry, which will increase the efficiency of the process of replacing dirty hotel confection (bed linen, towels, bathrobes) with a clean one, reduce business costs as well as reduce the emissivity of co2 in the region, due to the cessation of transport of the garment from the hotel to the external laundry room 3-4 x a week,

3) launch of a new service (product innovation) - laundry services for hotels in Polanica Zdrój, which will provide additional revenue for the company and provide work for new employees of the hotel in the amount of 1.5 FTE. Employment growth in the area of the Wałbrzych subregion is one of the specific objectives of FST.CP6.I

4) improving the energy efficiency of the hotel by installing a photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 38.88 kWp, producing 35,869 kWh per year, which will cover almost 46% of the electricity needs of the new equipment (for laundry and catering). Hotel Polanica Resort & Spa by implementing process and product innovations - hotel laundries - will increase employment in the hotel by 1.5 FTE, which will contribute to the achievement of the goals of FEDS 2021-2027. The company successively invests in RES. As part of the project Development and increase of competitiveness of DOM.DEVELOPER RESORT Sp. z o.o. through the purchase of movable fixed assets” No. RPDS.01.05.01-02-0748/21, the first photovoltaic panels were installed, which produce 20,100 kWh per year. In the current project, we plan to purchase and install a new photovoltaic installation, located in two zones, which will produce 35,869 kWh per year, which will contribute to an increase in the share of RES in the final energy consumption of the enterprise. The objectives of the project (increasing the competitiveness of the company and improving the energy efficiency of the services provided) contribute to the achievement of the goals of the equitable transformation of the Wałbrzych subregion included in the TPST, and in particular Goal 1 GOSPOD, which is economic activation and strengthening competitiveness by exploiting the endogenous potential of the subregion. The increase in competitiveness of the Company operating the Hotel in Polanica Zdrój will contribute to achieving the specific objective of FEDS 21-27 JSO8.1, which is: To enable regions and populations to mitigate the impact on the soci. employment, economy and environment of the consequences of the transformation towards achieving the Union's 2030 goals in the field of energy and climate. According to the document, Intervention in economic scope for the Wałbrzych subregion is a response to the need for stable development to include diversification of the gosp. leading to compensating for the development differences resulting from the liquidation of the DZW and the ceasefire in line with the objectives of the transition towards a climate-neutral economy. As part of the inn's objective, subsidy support in SME investments (including in the area of sustainable tourism) is planned in detail aimed at creating new jobs, including support in the field of diversific. and modernisation of business activities for companies. Implementation of new services provided by Hotel Polanica, ensuring employment growth and increasing competitiveness of the company by increasing revenues and reducing costs while increasing the share of RES in final energy consumption in the company meets the objectives for FEDS 21-27, Measure 9.4.

Economic and social efficiency of the project

The project will positively impact the local community and local entrepreneurship. Increasing the quality of services, reducing energy costs, improving the operation of the hotel will allow to maintain competitive prices, which will ensure an increase in the number of tourists who can take advantage of the hotel offer. Competitive price of stay and a large number of attractions offered by the Hotel will make an increasing number of tourists afford to relax in Polanica Zdrój. Increasing the number of tourists will have a positive effect on local entrepreneurship, as tourists will also visit other service premises, shops, souvenir shops, ski slopes, catering points, etc. Increasing employment by 1.5 FTE in the hotel will reduce the number of non-working people in Polanica Zdrój. Reducing the primary energy shed due to the use of photovoltaic installations will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions in the Wałbrzych subregion, which will positively affect both the environment and the health of the inhabitants.

Economic objective of subregion transformation

The project Dom.Developer Resort Sp. z o.o., which runs Hotel Polanica Resort &Spa, which consists in diversifying services, expanding the catering and laundry services and creating new jobs, perfectly fits into the economic goal of transformation of the Wałbrzych subregion, which is defined in the FEDS 2021-2027 Programme and in the TPST (Territorial Plan of Just Transformation for Lower Silesia Voivodeship 2021-2030; Wałbrzych Subregion).

Tackling climate change (eco-innovation)

The implementation of the project leads to a real reduction of negative environmental impacts, contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and decarbonisation. The share of eligible expenditure allocated to combating climate change, including: the use of RES (installation of photovoltaic panels) in the total eligible expenditure of the project (% of the value of eligible expenditure compared to total eligible expenditure) is 31,33%.
